This workshop teaches a practical way into songwriting by breaking songs down to their core. Participants will learn how to look at lyrics, rhythm, cultural and historical context and reference to understand what makes a song work. From there, the process is about rebuilding—using personal experiences, everyday details, and awareness of cultural positioning to create something original. Average Joe’s approach works because it helps writers see songs differently, opening up new ways to write with honesty and impact.
